Elmcroft of Point Loma is a mid-sized senior community that offers support and compassionate care around the clock for its residents in Memory Care. It staffs nurses, medical technicians and skilled caregivers. While the front lobby is accessible to all, the community itself is completely secure. All rooms come unfurnished and empty when each resident moves in.
In its single-story property, residents may enjoy not only assistance with activities of daily living (e.g., dressing, bathing, medication management, etc.), but also its Heartland Village Program, Second Wind Dreams, and all kinds of features and amenities for “comfort, care and privacy.”
There are private and shared apartments in Memory Care with full handicap accessibility. In addition, each resident has the option to choose his or her own activities and daily agenda. Overall, Elmcroft of Point Loma has a home-like feel with a number of common areas for dining, entertaining and socializing.

Most residents pay their fees on a month-to-month basis. If you’d like to cancel, you may submit a notice of 30 days.

At the beginning of the move-in process, the staff at Elmcroft of Point Loma will perform a complete assessment, and evaluate residents on a daily basis.

In the event a resident has special needs, Elmcroft can make the necessary accommodations. Also notable, Elmcroft staffs a master chef who managed a kitchen on the hit TV show Iron Chef. NOTE: The diet is low sodium at Elmcroft of Point Loma.
Are pets allowed at Elmcroft of Point Loma?
Yes, pets are allowed on the premises temporarily. However, families must submit a special request as well as adequate notice. If a resident can properly care for the animal on a long-term basis, Elmcroft can certainly make an exception.
