General Information
We visited Harmony Point on a midweek morning and had the opportunity to tour the entire community. On their website, Harmony Point describes their goal of enriching the lives of their residents and creating an environment that feels like home while also offering high quality levels of care. Upon meeting the staff and residents and strolling through the community we discovered that Harmony Point very much delivers on this objective.
In pursuing this idea of a home-like environment, Harmony Point is a single story building organized into two “neighborhoods”. These neighborhoods are essentially wings joined by the main atrium entryway and safely entered through secured doors. Named Beethoven and Mozart, they are designed to provide specialized programming and care to their unique residents – Beethoven for more active, higher functioning residents and Mozart for those who need a higher levels of care. Both neighborhoods are connected by a wonderful outdoor and secure courtyard area for residents and families to enjoy fresh air. It should be noted that Harmony Point is a smoke free community.
Continuing on the themes of home and enrichment, the Harmony Point staff does many of those little things that can mean so much for residents from aroma therapy, custom inter-generational activities and celebrating residents’ families and experiences. For example, albums of photos, awards and other memorabilia are created for residents to reminisce, create a sense of community and spread joy. The staff also prioritizes keeping families informed about their loved ones. A unique aspect of Harmony Point is the way they engage family members on the day to day care and well being of their loved ones. Through the use of Sagely, a mobile app, family members can receive notes and photos throughout the day updating them on activities and care.
Overall, Harmony Point is an excellent choice to consider for the family seeking a high quality memory care option in an affordable price range.
