General Information

Market Street Palm Coast is an exquisitely designed and inviting Assisted Living community that exclusively serves those dealing with memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer’s. Market Street is currently under construction with a planned opening in mid-2018.

Employees at Market Street are specially trained as Certified Dementia Practitioners and are able to care more fully and compassionately for their residents. The care fits hand-in-hand with the many different activities, programs and therapies provided by the community.

Residents are transported to a streetscape in Market Plaza where they can sit on a bench under a large oak tree, smell cookies baking in the bakery or visit the newsstand. Throughout the community, sensory “life skills” stations are setup to allow residents hands-on reminiscing for things like working in an office, folding laundry, etc. Market Street also utilizes things like music therapy and a program called It’s Never Too Late to allow residents and their families to explore a variety of interests, including travel, music, art, books, movies, spirituality, tv shows, and much more.

Dining: Residents are served three, freshly prepared meals a day as well as snacks throughout the day. They are served in small groups in a family-style setting. Brightly colored plates and attractive food all help to stimulate the appetite and encourage residents to eat.

Care Services/Staffing: It takes a special type of person to work with seniors and especially those with memory loss. The staff members at Market Street Palm Coast are carefully selected through an extensive interview process. Each staff member receives Certified Dementia Practitioner training to assist in their approach and understanding of those who are suffering from dementia, Alzheimer’s and other memory-related issues. Care is all-inclusive at Market Street Palm Coast and includes incontinence care and supplies as well.

Health assessments are conducted before the resident moves into the community, upon move-in and again 30 days after moving. A personalized service plan is put into place when a resident moves in and if there is not a change of condition, residents are re-evaluated every 6 months moving forward.
